What's in my bag?

My Travelteq bag came into my life four years ago. I was so excited, I wrote a post about it on my old blog- Ida's Sketchbook. And look- I'm posting about it again! :)

What's In My Bag?

A lot has changed in my life since 2010, but apparently I still like to carry around a handful of journals and sketchbooks. Hmmm, imagine that- an artist who carries around sketchbooks. :)

Today I am packing up for two weeks in Europe. What will be in my bag? iPad, lash curler & gloss (I'm a big fan of natural beauty), sketchbook, sunglasses, pens & pencils, another sketchbook, my current journal from Rifle Paper Co., my magical book of ideas, vintage crocodile clutch, passport, and my pyrite & kyanite. I still need to decide what scarf I want to bring on the plane and then I'll be all set!

I love it when something beautiful crosses my path unexpectedly. This 1920s vintage Chinese silk robe did exactly that last week. The best part- it is in mint condition and the colors are to die for! There was even an old price tag hanging from one of the fasteners.

Now for the big question- to wear it or not to wear it...

Amelia & Doe

Amelia had been coming to the clearing since she was a child, and Doe was a fawn. They stumbled upon each other quite accidentally when Amelia wandered away from a picnic, and Doe was taking a nap in the tall grass. The two knew immediately they would be friends forever. Their bond was so magical, Amelia found that if she leaned in closely, she could repeat what her beloved Doe was thinking.
